This is hands down one of the best Bible studies you will EVER encounter! I highly recommend this as a Bible Study Curriculum for homeschooling!
Lesson 1 talks about the influence of the Bible on society, it's construction, and its strength.
Lesson 2 introduces us to its unique patterns, its amazing connection with the sciences, its ability to predict future events with pinpoint accuracy, and reveals to us what God is really like.
This lesson will feature information dealing with the BIBLE'S amazing ability to predict the future. Over one third of the BIBLE is prophecy, and only God could foretell future events with perfect accuracy. You will learn about God's 100 percent accurate past track record in predicting things before they happened. God also foretold of many scientific facts in the BIBLE, before man discovered them. For example the BIBLE told us. . . * The Earth hung in space (long before philosophers thought we were on a giant turtle)
* The Earth was round (back when they thought it was flat)
* About wind circuits and water cycles before their discovery
* The Moon did not give off its own light (back when they thought it did)
* Man's chemical make up is the same as dirt (long before science discovered it)
* The stars are innumerable (long before Galileo)
Plus past prophecies concerning . . .
* The supernatural existence and survival of the Jews
* Jesus Christ's fulfillment of all of prophecies against astronomical odds
Lesson 3 reveals the Bible's foreboding predictions of the End Times!
In lesson 2, we dealt with prophecies that have already been fulfilled, proving that God has a flawless track record when it comes to BIBLE predictions of the past. What does that tell us about future prophecies (ones that are yet to be fulfilled)? If God's Word has been pinpoint accurate in the past, then you can count on it being accurate in the future! In this lesson we will deal specifically with future prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled, or are being fulfilled before our eyes. The BIBLE tells us that in the last days . . . * People will buy and sell items using the number 666 (you will be surprised!)
* Earthquakes, famines, plagues and pestilence will increase.
* Undertones of war will be prevalent during "talks of peace".
* It will be a time of great spiritual apathy mixed with much deception (cults, etc.).
* Technology and knowledge will greatly increase.
* There will be an increase in homosexuality.
* An attitude of skepticism will prevail over the Second Coming of Christ.
* Society will be very mobile with worldwide travel becoming common.
* Computers and satellite transmission will be necessary.
Lesson 4 explains who Jesus Christ is and what His purpose was in coming onto the world scene.
Since the end of the world coincides with the return of Jesus Christ, it is only fitting that we study
"The Son of man" Himself - Jesus Christ. Every one of the sixty-six books of the BIBLE refers to Jesus Christ in some way. He is the central theme of the entire BIBLE.
In our next lesson we will take an in-depth look into the greatest life ever lived, by the greatest person ever to walk the earth. We will see if the BIBLE answers things concerning Jesus Christ such as: * Was He actually virgin born?
* Did He appear in the Old Testament before His birth in Bethlehem?
* Was He really God in the flesh?
* Was He the Creator of the Universe?
* What did He look like?
* Was He all knowing and all powerful?
* Did He know that He was born to die?
* Did He always exist in eternity?
Lesson 5 continues our study of who Jesus was and why he had to die.
In this lesson we will deal with the greatest event in all history! Having dealt with the main person of the BIBLE, it is only fitting that we now examine the "main event" of the BIBLE. To fully understand the significance behind everything God incorporated into His Word, we must completely understand the meaning of Calvary! Our next lesson promises to be the best yet, and will reveal answers to such questions as . . .
* Why couldn't Jesus have been strangled, drowned or suffocated?
* Can Mount Calvary still be located today?
* Why did the curtain in the Temple tear when Jesus died?
* Who actually killed Jesus?
* What does Moses and the Passover lamb have to do with Calvary?
* Why did Jesus die at age 33?
* Why couldn't God the Father even look at His Son on the cross?
* Why did Jesus have to die?
Lesson 6 Seeks to dispel common misunderstandings about the Bible.
Facts about Calvary are meaningless unless Biblically applied. Ironically enough, the religious crowd of Jesus' day missed the whole point of His death on the cross. They chose instead to follow their traditions which actually went contrary to the BIBLE (Matthew 15:3). The religious Pharisees possessed the BIBLE, and yet Jesus made reference to their blindness (Matthew 23:13-33; John 5:38-39). Is it possible to know and believe the BIBLE, and yet still miss the most important message of the BIBLE? This lesson guarantees to be our most thought provoking lesson yet. It will address misconceptions which the BIBLE exposes, and will deal with matters such as: * Will most people go to Heaven or Hell?
* Why are there so many different religions?
* What is a "false prophet" according to Jesus?
* Does the BIBLE deal with deception?
* How is the BIBLE supposed to be interpreted?
* Did people in the Old Testament get to Heaven the same way as people today?
* According to the BIBLE is our own conscience a good guide to follow?
Lesson 7 Leads the reader to understand the Biblical concept of Salvation and how to apply it to one's self.
The most important reason why God gave us the BIBLE was for the salvation and consequent spiritual growth of mankind. We will deal with the following questions: * What happens after salvation?
* Why is salvation only through repentance and faith?
* How much faith does it take to be saved?
* Can a person lose their salvation?
* How much can a person grow spiritually?
